Aberrant expression of fibroblast growth factor and its receptors plays an important role in carcinogenesis. Here we report that local application of etamsylate, an inhibitor of fibroblast growth factor signaling pathways, led to a clinical improvement in a patient with squamous lung cell carcinoma.
