Combined effects of suction/injection and slip flow on hydromagnetic free convective flow in a vertical coaxial cylinder under the influence of radial magnetic field

Jeremiah Jerry Gambo, Dauda Gambo.

Abstract

This article examines the role of suction/injection and slip effect on fully developed natural convective flow of viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid with applied radial magnetic field in a vertical coaxial cylinder. The solutions of the velocity field, temperature field, skin friction on wall of the cylinder and volume flux are obtained analytically. The effect of various pertinent parameters controlling the physical situation are studied in detail with the aid of line graphs and table.

Key words: suction/injection; slip effect; MHD; natural convection; coaxial cylinder.
