Abstract | | | | Objective: To analyze the importance of health belief model (HBM) in patient compliance.
Methodology: The researchers have used systematic literature review technique to examine the effectiveness of HBM as a key educational and interventional tool for designing patient intervention tools.
Results: The findings of the study suggests that HBM has proved to be the most effective and efficient intervention method. Over so many years, it has brought positive changes like medicine adherence and preventive measures among patients of various chronic diseases across the globe.
Conclusion: The content analysis suggests that Health Belief Model either used in totality or used by few constructs has positively transformed the reluctant or less knowledgeable behavior of patients regarding their diseases.
