Abstract

The main purpose of the current study aimed to examine the present research practices in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Survey research approach was applied. For this purpose, 254 faculty members were selected from eight public sector universities through stratified sampling method. A self-developed questionnaire comprised of demographic attributes of teachers in the first part and statements related to institutional and personal research practices contained in the second part. Independent sample t-test was applied. The result of the study indicates that faculty members satisfied with institutional policies, resources and shows dissatisfaction about research funds allocated by the Government and Higher Education Commission.
