Objective: To determine the prevalence of common post-insertion complaints in patients with removable complete denture prostheses as well as the factors associated with these complaints.
Methodology: This questionnaire-based analytical study was conducted in the Dental Institute of PMC, Faisalabad Medical University from November 2020 to January 2021. A panel of three research experts validated the questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20.
Results: In upper dentures, 25% experienced pain on chewing, 7.1% reported pinching and 3.6% reported sore spots. In the lower dentures, 28.6% experienced pain on chewing, 10.7% had discomfort due to sharp edges and 14.3% cited other reasons.
Conclusion: The most common post insertion complaints were pain, loss of retention and phonetics. Detailed understanding of various factors required for the construction of a complete denture is essential.
