Spontaneous rupture of Splenic artery aneurysm during pregnancy- A mortal blow

Abstract

We report a 41 years old non-booked female married for 22 years and 24 weeks pregnant
with sharp pain in the abdomen followed by fainting. Exploratory laparotomy showed
gross hemoperitoneum and rupture of splenic artery which resulted in Splenectomy and
fetal demise. (Rawal Med J 2009;34: ).
