A NEW STRATEGY FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF 3-ACYLCOUMARIN USING NANO ZINC OXIDE AS AN EFFICIENT CATALYST

Abstract

3-Acylcoumarins were obtained in high yields from ortho-hydroxybenzaldehydes and ethyl acetoacetate or ethyl benzoylacetate in
acetonitrile in the presence of a catalytic amount of nano-ZnO.
