DETERMINATION OF MEDICAL TRAINING SUBJECTS FOR THE MEDICAL RECRUITS

Abstract

This study was performed at Gülhane Military Medicine Academy (GMMA) during February-March 1998 in order to determine medical training subjects for the medical recruits who had been educated at Samsun Field Medical School and Training Center Commandership.
The study was designed as descriptive type. Military practitioner doctors belong to the study, established the following subjects as primary subjects for medical recruits to know; first aid at hemorrhagic conditions (corporals 98.2, recruits 92.3 %), measure of pulse rate, body temperature and blood pressure (corporals 97.0, 95.9, 95.9 recruits 85.5, 84.6, 84.0 97.0), carriage of the wounded (corporals %92.9, recruits 83.4%), first aid of the one who could not breathe (corporals %92.3, recruits 71.0 %).
