Background: The aim of this study was to find out the correlation of duration of type 2 diabetes mellitus with the level of serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT).

Aims and Objectives: This study aims to find out the correlation of duration of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) with the level of serum ALT in Jamnagar (Gujarat) region.

Materials and Methods: We have conducted this cross-sectional study at the diabetic clinic in Guru Gobind Singh Government Hospital, Jamnagar. One hundred diabetic patients were included in our study. Parameter like serum ALT used. We have divided patients into two groups for study. The first group includes duration of DM
