Abstract: Tuberculosis (TB) has become a major public health problem affecting young adults leading to morbidity and mortality. According to WHO, the most cost effective way to stop the spread of TB by curing it through DOTS therapy (Directly Observed Treatment Short course). The main aim of DOTS therapy is to improve the cure rate among new cases and the duration is 6 months. Objectives: To assess the level of knowledge regarding DOTS therapy among staff nurses in NMCH, Nellore. Materials and Methods: Descriptive research design was used to assess level of knowledge regarding DOTS therapy among staff nurses. 50 samples were selected by using non probability convenience sampling technique.
Data was collected by using structured questionnaires and analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The results revealed that 7(14%) had A grade, 25(50%) had B+ grade, 13(26%) had B grade, 2(4%) had C grade and 3(6%) D grade of knowledge regarding dots therapy.
