Abstract
This study compared the acute haematological responses of midazolam-sedated West African Dwarf (WAD) bucks to intravenous (IV) administration of lactated Ringer`s and 5% dextrose solution. Changes in white blood cells (WBC ×10¬3 /µl), red blood cells (RBC ×10¬6 /µl), haemoglobin (Hb g/dl), packed cell volume (PCV %), Platelet (/µl), total protein (TP g/100ml) and albumin (g/100ml) were recorded.
