The Downs syndrome is the medical condition however behavior modification techniques were more effective to enhance the functioning of child with Downs syndrome. The psychological intervention and integrated education efforts have a strong and positive influence on the child's cognitive & social deficits. The current case is of an 11 years old girl studying in a Special Education School and referred by her teacher for the assessment and management of speech comprehension, behavioral issues and poor academic performance. The adaptive behavior assessment revealed that the child had moderate form of intellectual disability. The client was suffering Downs syndrome by birth and have delayed developmental milestone. The focus of brief therapeutic intervention was to enhance current adaptive behavior functioning. Multiple stakeholders including parents, teacher, and psychologist should drift their attention towards this very issue.
