Abstract
The field experiment was conducted to determine the effect of native plant growth promoting bacterium (PGPB) Erwinia sp. (PR6) along with reduced doses of NPK and FYM on growth, yield and biochemical properties of newly released wheat (Triticum aestivum) varieties AAI-W6 by SHUATS, Allahabad. The result of the present investigation confirmed that the growth and yield of wheat crop could be achieved significantly higher by seed inoculation with PGPB Erwinia sp. (PR6) in conjunction with FYM and reduced level of NPK (75%). The study suggests utilization of native PGPB for enhancing wheat production in Indo-gangetic plain and other parts of the country with reduced level of NPK.
Key words: Wheat var. AAI-W6, Erwinia sp. (PR6), NPK, FYM
