Fructose; is that a public health problem?

Abstract

High fructose corn syrup used in many products on the market is occured through a series of chemical processes. Long shelf life, and food softness because of the moisture-retaining properties, being more sweeter than other sugars have rendered preferred this product. Possible side effects of high fructose corn syrup with animal and human studies have been investigated but no evidence related serious adverse effect could be found with physiologic consumption. However this type of food and drink intake is accompanied by the consumption of hypercaloric energy and is believed to cause metabolic complications. Therefore, the appropriate amounts of natural fructose has indisputable benefits if consumed excessively adverse effects are inevitabl
