The Health Life Style Behaviours of University Students

Abstract

AIM: Health promotion not only includes preventing diseases but purposes usual health and wellness position of the persons. The aim of the study to determine the healthy lifestyle behaviors and will be effective speciliaties these behaviors of university students in Celal Bayar University.
METHODS: The study was conducted 349 students who are educatedin of Faculty of Education Celal Bayar University who accepted to take in place of study date of September-November 2006. For collecting data, a demographic questionnaire and Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors Scale were used. The data were evaluated by SPSS 11.0 pacget programme on computer. T test, mean and Kruskall Wallis tests were used in the statistical analyses.
RESULTS: Students’ Healty Lifestyle Behaviors were determined level of medium. Increasing of mean of age health responsibility of the students were increased. Girls’ health lifestyle behaviors and eating behaviors were found higher as the boys. Level of family students, healthy lifestyle behaviors were increased.
CONCLUSION: It is found that level of medium of the students’ healthy lifestyle behaviors.
