Abstract
Meckels diverticulum is the most common congenital gastrointestinal anomaly and may result in a number of complications including bleeding, obstruction and inflammation. Axial torsion of Meckels diverticulum is very rare and has been reported only 8 times in children and 16 times in adults in the past 35 years. We report a case of axial torsion and gangrene of Meckels diverticulum in a 8 years old boy.
