At first glance it seems that there is much common in journalistic and medical work but they are together for a long time in the leading group as the most vulnerable professions regarding health. Permanent responsibility and performance under the usually imposed deadlines, uncontrolled consumption of empathy and enforced conditions of work, make a high fence of the stress ring which professionals from both fields are surrounded by every day. Ethics of both professions does not require only humane and responsible treatment at a given moment but also a certain level of anticipation of all the important consequences of traumatic events. Reporting of events with consequences for human health and lives of journalists requires not only skills but also special preparedness that shout forestall confusion in front of the scale of unexpected traumatic event. In these situations, journalists must make decisions quickly and often make risk assessments on key details of the event. Morally responsible journalism requires the reporting of events with threats to life and health. There are often boundaries between public interest and privacy of actors in the events is not clear and can be interpreted on voluntary basis in some types of journalism (sensationalism, tabloids, “yellow press”) moves far to the detriment of privacy.
