Therapeutic effect of apple cider vinegar on diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid, polyphenols, number of vitamins and minerals that make it a beneficial therapeutic food for diabetes and other diseases. Diabetes mellitus is one of the most prevalent diseases worldwide. Apple cider vinegar has anti-hyperglycemic properties. It lowers the blood sugar levels. It also controls weight loss, which makes it another reason to be useful for diabetic patients who are generally overweight. Apple cider vinegar also reportedly has anti-hyperlipidemic effects.
