Trials on the Role of Prebiotics and Probiotics in Colonization and Immune Response of Broiler Chickens Challenged with Escherichia Coli K88

Abstract

Colibacillosis is the most common infectious disease of poultry. Colibacillosis causes high economic losses on a poultry farms. So the objective of this research is evaluation the effect of one prebiotic and one probiotic on the performance and immune status of non-infected chickens and infected chickens by E.coli k88. the prebiotic and probiotic were be supplemented on feed stuff of chicken and the effect of it were be evaluated by detection the total bacterial count of E.coli and immune status of chicken were detected by differential lecuokcytic count , phagocytic index and ELISA for detection of Igm and IgA. Both prebiotics and probiotic enhance the performance and immune status of infected chickens in comparing with control chickens which were not be fed with this prebiotic and probiotic.
