Abstract

Objective: To determine the frequency of complete atrioventricular (AV) heart block in patients with acute myocardial infarction.
Methodology: This descriptive cross-sectional study consisted of 292 patients clinically diagnosed with Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) based on clinical evaluation, electrocardiogram (ECG), and cardiac biomarkers (Troponin I/T). Patients with advanced heart failure or renal failure and patients with previous coronary artery bypass graft surgery were excluded.
