The donor undergoes ovarian stimulation to produce multiple eggs. Trans-vaginal ultra-sound is used to monitor the follicle growth and the eggs are removed through a small needle passing through the vaginal wall while the donor receives IV sedation. The recipient’s cycle is controlled with hormones so that her uterus will be ready for implantation at the correct time. Sample calendars are attached to this handout. The surrogacy destination maintains a very active oocyte (egg) donor program and has over five hundred egg donors, including most races, available for patient consideration. Donors are extensively screened. Have no age restrictions for healthy potential recipients interested in utilizing our donors. All donations are anonymous. Do not offer to "meet the donor" or "donor meets the parent. Information on extensive background and genetic history information as well as photos of the donors to potential recipients are not provided Special arrangement with affiliated egg donor agencies are maintained on reductions on agency fees to our active patients seeking the assistance of egg donors.
