Chikungunya has become a major global health concern, with outbreaks reported in over 110 countries and more than 270,000 cases worldwide in 2025. Recently, China has been facing its largest outbreak, centered in Guangdong Province, with 9,933 cases. This commentary underscores the global spread of chikungunya and highlights the urgent need for effective surveillance, vector control, and vaccination strategies.
