Abstract | | | | Objective: To determine knowledge, attitude & practices regarding dengue fever prevention among allied health students in a private Medical College of Lahore.
Methodology: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted during November 2021, using non probability convenience sampling method. We used a closed end questionnaire and 210 responses were received from Allied Health students of Combined Military Hospital Medical College, Lahore. Demographic characteristics were noted. Data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0
Result: Out of 210 students, 23.3% were males and 57% females. Mean age was 18.5±2.5 years. Overall, females showed better practices regarding dengue prevention (p=0.001).
Conclusion: Study participants had good knowledge about dengue fever symptoms, but their practices were not matching their knowledge. Female participants showed better practices. Imparting health education and adherence to best practices is the pre-requisite to dengue prevention.
