An Institutional Repository (IR) is a digital repository created to gather, preserve, and disseminate an institution's intellectual output, usually from a university or research organization. It acts as a central repository for academic documents such as theses, dissertations, research articles, conference papers, datasets, and multimedia content, which are then made available to the general public or institutional members. The goal of this project is to create an institutional repository as a viable tool for retaining, archiving, and increasing the availability and visibility of academic works and research outputs of Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara academic staff members, which have grown since its inception in 2020. This project will take advantage of several available solutions, including institutional open access regulations, partially or fully automated content collection and integration repositories, and the current research information manual system. The proposed framework will be developed using Web Application Development tools such as HTML, PHP, Database Engines, SSL, JavaScripts, and Java. This project will enable academic staff members and university community to harvest publication data from Web of Science, Scopus, IEEE, and Creative Commons licensed works, among others. Consequently, this project aims to turn manual research outputs and scholarly publications into a completely automated repository system. It provides special opportunities for the institution to monitor and measure the development of their scholars in order to implement an effective incentive system and promotion exercises, as well as increase global visibility. System validation testing revealed that the system is a feasible respond to the institution's key challenges in managing and distributing educational material.
