Seroprevalence of Crimeo-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever in Sargodha District, Pakistan

Abstract
Objective: To know the seroprevalence and risk magnitude of this disease among in milkmen of our area.
Methodology: This descriptive cross sectional study was conducted in District Sargodha, Pakistan from August 2016 to March 2017. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Chi Square test was applied for data analysis.
Results: Out of 94 milkmen, 75(79.8%) were male and 19(20.2%) female. Out of 94 milkmen, 2 (2.1%) male milkmen had CCHF. There was no association between CCHF and gender, education, marital status of milkmen, animal contact, family history of Congo fever, milkmens family ever been screened for CCHF.
Conclusion: There was 2.1% seroprevalence of CCHF in District Sargodha. It is not a high percentage when compared with studies from other countries.
