The current study was conducted to detect the seroprevalence level (IgG, IgM) of Toxoplasma gondii infection among 180 diabetes Patients148 cases were female and 32 cases were male who attended National center for Research on diabetes at Al-Yarmouk hospital in Baghdad (age13-60) year. Serum samples were tested for sugar by an enzymatic method. The anti-Toxoplasma specific IgG, IgM were assessed using Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kits. The results recorded 112 (62.2%) and 52(28.9%) anti-Toxoplasma IgG and IgM seropositive antibodies, while in seronegative antibodies IgG and IgM were 68 (37.8%) and 128(71.1%), respectively. Statistically significant (P < 0.05) was found between age, gender and seropositive Toxoplasma gondii, the higher percentage was recorded in women.
