Abstract
PFPS is among the most common disorders of the knee in physically active individuals. Previous literature evaluated the effects of traditional rehabilitation strategies for the management of PFPS. Recently, adjunct techniques like Kinesio taping (KT), Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), Cupping therapy and Dry Needling (DN) has gained popularity to enhance the recovery in PFPS. The aim of this review is to find the literature concerning the emerging effects of adjunct techniques on PFPS from databases such as Google Scholar, Pubmed & Pedro. Existing literature encourage the potential role of adjunct techniques thus there is a need to explore more moderate to high quality experimental trials.
