Background:
Approximately half million women lose their lives every year because of complications of pregnancy and about 99% in developing countries & average of 450 women for every 100000 live births in developing world. Obstructed labour, ruptured uterus constitutes 70% of maternal death during labour can be prevented by observing progress of labour & timely intervention.

Aims and Objectives:
To analyse knowledge and utilization levels of partograph in management of labour.

Study Design:
Cross sectional study.

Material & Methods:
A cross-sectional study conducted on 72 health care providers working in Obstetrics department by google forms questionnaire related to level of utilization of partograph.

Results:
Data analysis done in Microsoft Excel. Out of 72 data were categorical (as counts, percentages & chi square test were used for significance of association between categorical variations) and continuous (means & standard deviations) having 60(84.72%) was good knowledge (scored >17) & one variable and Fair 10 (11.11%) and 02 (4.16%) Poor knowledge was clubbed together (scored < 17) as second variable. Mean 20.733 Median 22, Mode 24. Degree of freedom is 1 and probability 0.05, chi square tab. 3.84. p value > 0.05 will be significant. Chi square test calculation (0.0462) showed significant relation between two variables (P value 0.4075) not significant, Standard deviation SD 4.235032. Independent variables analyze at 95% confidence interval CI. In second variable little knowledge about how to fill partograph, it is easier to manage labour room without uses of partograph are also important response. Although 60 have good knowledge but there is still limitation in implementation of partograph is due to shortage of staff and time.

Conclusion:
Inadequate implementation in health care is due to shortage of staff and time. If implementation issues are addressed, then utilization of the partograph can surely reduce the maternal mortality rate.
