Aims: The aim of this study is to determine the eating behaviours of individuals over the age of 18 years who applied to a family health centre as well as the associated factors.
Materials and Methods: Eating behaviors of individuals over 18 years of age who applied to the family health center and the characteristics affecting them were investigated. Two Family Health Centers (FHCS) in the provincial center of Elazig in Turkey. All 1684 applicants to the family health center.
Results: The variable of gender did not cause any difference on the distribution of AEBQ scores in this study. Individuals who were 55 years of age and older, married, had no children, earned more income, suffered from chronic diseases, and were physically disabled had statistically significantly higher AEBQ scores. A statistically significant positive correlation was found between the participants’ age, number of children, the duration of chronic disease, the duration of physical disability, and BMI values and their AEBQ scores.
Conclusion: Further studies should be conducted using the AEBQ, and necessary steps should be taken to build healthier individuals and, therefore, healthier societies based on the results.

Key words: nutrition, eating behaviours, eating behavior factors, family health centre.
