Abstract | Download PDF | | Post | Objective: This study aimed to explore the prevalence of breast cancer (BCa) in high body mass index (BMI) > 30 kg/m2 patients compared to non-BCa patients.
Methods: This was a retrospective study. Patient data were collected from electronic medical records of Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital from the period of January 2019 to July 2023 including clinical and histopathological data.
Results: The most common type of BCa was carcinoma in situ (71%), followed by intraductal carcinoma (23%), and lobular carcinoma (5%). The results of the statistical analysis showed that the prevalence of BCa among BMI >30 kg/m2 (n = 24,888) was 0.112% (n = 28) while among BMI
