Background: Sustainable consciousness (SC) is the experience and awareness of sustainable phenomena, including personal experience and opinions. In young healthy volunteers, this study evaluates the relationship between SC and physical activity.
Methods: SC was assessed by means of the Sustainable Consciousness Questionnaire (SCQ) and the level of physical activity was assessed by means of the International Physical Activity Short Form (IPAQ-sf).
Results: There were a total of 235 participants between the ages of 18 and 33 years with a body mass index of 23.01. There was no significant relationship between physical activity levels assessed by the IPAQ-SF and sustainable awareness levels assessed by the SCQ (p˃0.05). For all sub-parameters of the IPAQ-SF, there was no significant correlation between the total scores for knowledge, attitude and behaviour (respectively, r=-0.014, p=0.835; r=-0.007, p=0.912; r=0.070, p=0.287). While there is no significant relationship between knowledge (economic) and attitude (environment) and behavior (social) of the SCQ sub-parameters (respectively, r=-0.040, p=0.539; r=-0.047, p=0.472), there is a significant relationship in all other parameters (p=
