Arooj Akram, Nimra Tariq, Momina Aisha, Arfan Jaffar, and Tayyaba Abbas.

Abstract

This review provides an extensive analysis of medical image fusion algorithms, categorized into four main groups: morphological methods, human value system operator-based approaches, sub-band decomposition, and neural network-based methods. The review also covers a comparative analysis of these strategies and their efficiency in brain tumor detection.
This article further examines medical imaging modalities, and related databases along with statistical outcomes. It includes a detailed discussion on imaging techniques, such as radiation-based methods, visible light microscopy, and multi-modal medical imaging.

Key words: Image fusion, multi-modality, neural networks, fuzzy logic, brain tumor. segmentation.
