OPTIMIZING THE SELECTION OF THE BEST EMPLOYEES USING THE PROFILE MATCHING METHOD IN ABACUS CASH SOLUTION

Background/ Aim: The employee performance assessment system at PT. Abacus Cash Solution currently relies on manual methods, such as paper and Microsoft Excel, which are inefficient and prone to errors. These limitations affect objectivity and accuracy in selecting the best employees, a crucial factor for the company's sustainability and competitiveness. This study aims to develop a web-based performance appraisal system using the Profile Matching method to enhance the selection process of the best employees at PT. Abacus Cash Solution. Methods: The system was developed using PHP as the programming language and MySQL for database management, with the design visualized through the Unified Modeling Language (UML). Data collection methods included interviews with employees, direct observation of the existing system, document analysis, and literature studies. System functionality testing was conducted using Black Box Testing to ensure compliance with the required specifications.
Results: The implementation of the Profile Matching method significantly improved the accuracy and efficiency of the employee performance assessment process. The developed system reduced manual errors and subjectivity, providing more reliable recommendations for selecting the best employees. Conclusion: The web-based performance appraisal system successfully addressed the inefficiencies of the previous manual system at PT. Abacus Cash Solution. In addition to supporting the company’s objectives, the system also contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by creating a fairer and more efficient work environment. This study introduces a novel application of the Profile Matching method in employee performance assessment within the financial services sector.
