Abstract | | | | The prevalence of undiagnosed illnesses in Saudi Arabia presents a significant public health challenge, impacting individuals and the healthcare system. Epidemiological studies indicate that conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and mental health disorders often go unnoticed due to a lack of effective screening protocols and public awareness. The rising burden of these chronic diseases can be traced to lifestyle changes, urbanization, and increased risk factors such as obesity and sedentary behavior. Current health initiatives may not adequately address unrecognized diseases, leading to late diagnoses and poorer health outcomes, emphasizing the urgent need for comprehensive screening programs and community education. To combat the growing issue of undiagnosed illnesses in Saudi Arabia, a multifaceted approach is essential. This includes enhancing healthcare infrastructure by incorporating advanced diagnostic tools and training healthcare professionals to recognize atypical symptoms. Public health campaigns should focus on raising awareness about common undiagnosed conditions, integrating mental health screenings into routine healthcare visits, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices. Collaboration between government entities, healthcare providers, and community organizations will be crucial to establish a sustainable framework for early detection and intervention. By prioritizing research and preventive measures, Saudi Arabia can improve health outcomes and reduce the burden of undiagnosed illnesses on its population.
