Tuberculosis, once almost eradicated has emerged as a serious public health problem. It is a communicable diseases spread by droplet nuclei in air, caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis bacilli. DOTS is the WHO recommended strategy for tuberculosis control based on modern management technique.
A Study is aimed to assess the knowledge and practice on directly observed treatment Short course among tuberculosis patients attending TB clinic.
Quantitative research approach and descriptive design are used to conduct the study. A non probability convenient sampling method was adopted to select a sample of 50 TB patients attending S.V.R.R G.G.H.
10(20%) TB patients had in adequate, 32(64%) had moderate, 8(16%) had adequate knowledge on DOTS therapy. 36(72%) had unsatisfactory practice and 14(28%) had satisfactory practice of DOTS therapy among TB patients.
