Abstract

 

This descriptive study was performed between I October 1993 and 31 January ¡994 by screening 984 students in central primary schools in Yeşilyurt county and Gündüzbey municipality. The most frequent disturbances we observed among primary school students were: disorders of ear 21.8 %, decrease in visual acuity 15. ~ %. and disorders of throat 14.7 %.

In the study the height and weight of the children uav also measured and standard growth charts were obtained. These measurements were compared with Keyzi '.v growth standards and growth failure among primary school children in our study found to be 7.9 %. ¡Journal of Turgut Özal Medical Center 1(4):278- 284.1994/
