Reccurent Incisional Endometriosis: What Is Important In Surgery?

Abstract


Endometriosis has been aiso described in extrapeivic stes and causes unusual symptoms and diagnostic diiemmas. A case with repeated surgery for subcutaneous endometriosis has been presented. The cause of endometriosis was cesarean section performed five years ago. Athough surgical rem oval of ectopic site was performed twice, symptoms started after a short symptom-free period following each surgery. It was specuiated that insufficient surgery shou/d be the reason for recurrence of symptoms in this case. Surgery shou/d be terminated oniy after confirmation of the excised mass wth an accompanying margin of normal tissue by frozen section.
