Abstract
Hemifasiyal spazm, yüzün bir yarısının kısmi ya da tümünü içine alan sürekli seyirme ve değişken şiddette irregüler klonik kasılmalardır. Genelde ağız ve göz çevresinde en belirgindir. Bu durum aynı taraflı fasiyal sinirin irritatif lezyonu ya da Bell felcinin sekeli sonucu olabilir. Sunulan olguda travma sonrası ipsilateral fasiyal sinir paralizi yanısıra, kontralateral hemifasiyal spazm mevcuttur. Bu sadece çapraz etkilenmey’e mükemmel bir örnek olmayıp göz kırpma refleksi ve ilgili kasların EMG'si ile kayda değerdir. [Turgut Özal Tıp Merkezi Dergisi 1996;3(4):359-362]
