Abstract

Low back pain is very prevalent in general population . Treatment of non radicular back pain in the absence of deformity continues to be controversial. The epidural injection of a combination of a long- acting steroid with an epidural anesthetic is an excellent method of symptomatic treatment of back and leg pain from discogenic disease and other sources. In experienced hands the complication rate from this procedure is small. In this report we mtroduce our experience in this treatment method for the patients having lumbar degenerative disc disease.
