This study is a cross-sectional research in which the diabetes prevalence and the influential factors were examined. 1217 people over the age of 40 year in the Yeşilyurt Health Center region participated in this research. Fasting blood glucose was measured on capillary blood with glucometer and was carried out OGTT on participants. The height, weight, and blood pressures were measured and obesity was evaluated by body mass index. In this study which was performed to find the diabetic prevalence in Yeşilyurt population with age > 40 years, diabetic prevalence was found 11.2% in total, 13.6% in female, and 8.7% in males by using NDDG (National Diabetes Data Group) diagnosis criteria.
