Abstract


 

Rapid laboratory detection of the tuberculosis bacilli, determination of its drug resistance and detection of the source of infection are very important for successful treatment. Therefore rapid, highly specific and sensitive, easily applicable novel culture methods and molecular diagnostic techniques have been developed in the recent years.
