Abstract
In order to investigate seasonal distribution of Hepatitis E virus (HEV) seropositivity, in four seasons a total of 310 blood samples (82 in spring, 70 in summer, 93 in fall, 65 in winter) were collected from healthy subjects. Anti HEV IgG and IgM antibodies were searched by enzyme immunoassay. HEV seropositivity was 13.4% in spring,
4.3% in summer, 5.4% in fall and 10.8% in winter season. There was no statistically significant difference among the seasons.
