Abstract

 

Mitral valve disease is the most seen valvulopathy in rheumatic heart disease. Approximately 40 percent of all patients with rheumatic heart disease have combined mitral stenosis and mitral regurgitation. 35 years o ld woman suffering from dyspnea which had been begun one year ago and history of edema of extremites was admitted our cardiology department. In PA chest roentgenogram cardiothoracic ratio was 0.9. In echocardiographic evaluation of the heart left ventricular, left atrium, right ventricular and right atrium diameters are as follows; 13,8 cm, 12 cm, 5,5 cm, 10,4 cm. In doppler echocardiography confirmed with 40 mitral regurgitation, 40 tricuspit regurgitation, pulmonary artery pressure 50 mmHg, ejection fract ion 45 % have seen and no important symptomatology was seen before one year ago. We offer our patient becau se of having one of the biggest cardiomegaly that we find out and does not have any important complaint until a year ago.
