Abstract

 

69 patients with gastric cancer admitted to the Surgical Departments of Ankara Numune Hospital and İnönü University School of Medicine between 1988-1993 were evaluated. 47 (%68.1) of the patients were male and 22 (%31.9) were female. Male/female ratio were 2:1. As a result , almost all of our patients were in either 3rd or 4th stages. 36 patients underwent subtotal gastrectomy, 17 total gastrectomy, 8 drainage procedure and 3 explorative laparatomy. 38 patients received chemotherapy and 1 radiotherapy.
