Abstract

Endobronchial brachytherapy is a treatment method that might either be used alone or in combination with external

beam radiation therapy in attempt to improve the control probability of endobronchial lesions for patients with lung

cancer for whom radiation therapy would be undertaken since performance of surgical treatment would not be

possible or in attempt to establish palliation of symptoms resulting from endobronchial lesions. In this report, the

first endobronchial brachytherapy application that has been performed in the Department of Radiation Oncology

for a patient with lung cancer has been presented.
