Materials and Methods: Ten male and 8 female patients with mandibular fractures were treated by rigit internal fixation with the use of mini titanium plate and screw. Only mucosal incisions was preferred for the rigit internal fixation of the anterior mandibular fractures. In the posterior region fractures of the mandible, for the drilling and screwing of the mandibular bone, skin incision in size of 3 mm was made with 11 number blade. Oral mucosal incision was used for the open reduction and insertion of the titanium plate on the mandible cortex in these patients. Soft diet was advised to all of the patients.

Results: Short scar of the skin incision was observed after the operation. Bone healing process was uneventful.

Conclusions: In the treatment of posterior mandible fracture, osteosyntesis may be performed with small skin scar with the use of transcutan drilling and screwing of mandibule.
