Quality of Life and Effecting Factors in Chronic Cerebro Vascular Diseases

Abstract
Objective: To search the relation between sociodemographic and clinic variables and quality of life and evaluate the quality of life in cases having chronic cerebro vascular disease (CVD).
Material and method: As a data gathering device, a questionaire form, for evaluating quality of life; a SF-36 quality of life scale for determining the degree of depression; beck depression invantory (BDI), for determining CVD severity; Canadian Neurological Scale (CNS), for functional evaluation, functional independence measure (FIM) are used.
Results: 43 (64%) of the cases are male and 27 (38.6%) are female and their mean age is 60.16±11.30. Disease duration of the cases in working group was 197.44±26.22 days.There was an interior disease in 51 (72%) cases.
