Older Adults and Physical Activity

Abstract


Ageing is a process which affects many systems in the organism. A decrease is observed in physical fitness and endurance developing as a result of these. The benefits of physical activities in the elderly are said to be ensuring good health, securing functional independence and improving the quality of life. In this study, the effects of aging on the organism, physical activities in the elderly and advantages of physical activities  and methods for evaluating physical activities in the elderly have been mentioned.
