A Rare Cause of Acute Abdominal Paın: Situs Inversus Totalis and Acute Appendicitis

Abdominal pain is one of the most common complaints of patients presenting to the emergency department. Among the patients with abdominal pain, appendicitis is the most common surgical disorder. Appendicitis presenting with left lower quadrant pain may result in false-negative diagnosis. Left sided appendicitis occurs in association with situs inversus and intestinal malrotation. We describe a rare case of left sided appendicitis with situs inversus totalis.
