A number of emotional and behavioral disorders, particularly mood disorders can be observed secondary to a stroke. Depression is the most common mental disorder after a stroke, although mania can also occur, albeit rarely. Left hemisphere lesions lead to depression and right hemisphere lesions to mania, in general.
In this report we present a case who presented with manic symptoms and evaluated as late onset mania secondary to stroke of left hemisphere.
